Quantitative analysis of the comparative advantages of export food industry of the Republic of Belarus

英语. In a course of the research there was studied the competitiveness of the food industry of the Republic of Belarus on the global food market. The comparative advantages of the food industry of Belarus were determined on the basis of quantitative calculations. An analysis of the dynamics of the food industry exports by industries was conducted with the help of the Balassa methodology to determine the level of export specialization of the country by product group. Results of evaluation of the priority areas of the food industry made it possible to develop concrete recommendations for the definition of the commodity structure of export of food products, increasing the benefits of participation in the international commodity exchange. The results made it possible to classify foods according to their competitiveness in the market that helped to develop specific recommendations for improving the regulation of the food market, stimulate the development of industry and rationalizing agricultural policy. Thus, under the influence of globalization processes, Belarus food market in recent years were characterized by specifics such as the growth trend the volume of exports of food products, developed a narrow segmentation export specialization.

Целью данного исследования является определение на основе количественных расчетов сравнительных преимуществ пищевой промышленности Республики Беларусь. Анализ динамики экспорта пищевой промышленности в разрезе отраслей проведен с помощью методики Балассы, позволяющей определить уровень экспортной специализации страны по группам продуктов. Результаты оценки приоритетных сфер пищевой промышленности позволяют выработать конкретные рекомендации по определению товарной структуры экспорта пищевых продуктов, увеличивая выгоды от участия в международном товарном обмене.
