All the research conducted indicated that by applying the proper type and quantity of material, mainly bio-polymers included, we are able to obtain composite materials with a foam thermo-insulation layer. Amongst the tested substances, the quantity of porofor applied, such as acidic sodium carbonate, the type and quantity of bio-polymers applied, primarily those form the protein group, and the amount of applied plasticiser have the largest impact on the type and structure of composite material obtained.
