This review comprehensively outlines the uses and properties of ornamental flower extracts, which are rich in phytochemicals like phenolic compounds, flavonoids and alkaloids. These constituents exhibit antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and pharmacological activities, leading to applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, and nutraceuticals. In pharmaceuticals, these extracts serve as a source of natural compounds with therapeutic potential. Their antioxidant properties, in particular, have been studied for their ability to combat oxidative stress and related disorders. The cosmetic industry extensively integrates ornamental flower extracts for their anti-aging and skin-rejuvenating properties.
