In 2008 a EU wide survey (2007/516/EC), was conducted to estimate the prevalence of Campylobacter spp. and Salmonella spp. in broiler flocks and carcasses.The objectives of the present analysis were to investigate factors associated with Campylobacter -colonized broiler batches, Campylobacter -contaminated broiler carcasses and Salmonella -contaminated broiler carcasses in the German survey.
