2014
Bundalevski Slobodan | Mitrevski Vangelce | Geramitcioski Tale | Mijakovski Vladimir
The main idea of this paper is to review and present the scientific papers in which inverse approach was used. For this purpose, the number of publications, references, etc., in ten relevant journals (Journal of Food Engineering, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Inverse Problems in Science and Engineering, International Journal of Food Properties, Computers & Mathematics with Applications, International Journal of Thermal Sciences, Drying Technology: An International Journal, International Journal of Food Science & Technology, Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics, LWT - Food Science and Technology) were studied. In order to obtain clear picture of what is realistic to expect from the scientific investigation in this field in the near future and where future research should be focused, some statistical analysis were made. From the performed statistical analysis it was concluded that more investigations are needed for determination of the thermopysical and engineering characteristics of food materials.

Anthony Clare
The oceans cover approximately 71% of the Earth’s surface and contain more than 97% of the planet’s water, representing over 100 times more liveable volume than the terrestrial habitat. Approximately fifty percent of the species on the planet occupy this ocean biome, much of which remains unexplored. The health and sustainability of the oceans are threatened by a combination of pressures associated with climate change and the ever-increasing demands we place on them for food, recreation, trade, energy and minerals. The biggest threat, however, is the pace of change to the oceans, e.g., ocean acidification, which is unprecedented in human history. Consequently, there has never been a greater need for the rapid and widespread dissemination of the outcomes of research aimed at improving our understanding of how the oceans work and solutions to their sustainable use. It is our hope that this new online, open-access Journal of Marine Science and Engineering will go some way to fulfilling this need. [...]

Archives of Environmental Protection is the oldest Polish scientifi c journal regarding environmental engineering and protection. It has been published by the Institute of Environmental Engineering of PAS in Zabrze since 1975. The Committee on Environmental Engineering of PAS became its co-publisher in 2011. The quarterly publishes original articles (earlier, also announcements) concerning broadly understood areas of the environmental engineering and protection. The subjects include: air, land and water protection; technologies of fl ue gases, soil and wastewater treatment; transformations and transportation of pollutants in the environment; measurement techniques used in research and engineering as well as environmental monitoring. The published articles also focus on the reclamation and management of derelict lands, environmental management and other questions related to the environmental engineering and protection. The journal has been abstracted by Thomson Scientific since 2006 in the following databases: Science Citation Index Expanded, Biological Abstracts and BIOSIS Previews. Moreover, the journal was given the impact factor (IF) in 2010. The following article presents statistical data as well as a brief history and description of the journal.
