The palatability of Lolium perenne, Festuca pratensis, Dactylis glomerata, Phleum pratense and Agrostis alba was evaluated on the intensity of pasturazing full-blood English mares. After finishing pasturazing the grass species were grazed up in 96.6; 84.8; 77.8; 80.3 and 74.5% respectively. It was stated that Taraxacum officinale and Trifolium repens were eaten readily but Achillea millefolium unwillingly
