Importance of organic form of chromium in turkey fattening

During fattening of female turkey chick of the Large White hybrid, the effects of supplementation of chromium in the form of picolinate and nicotinate chromium into the feed in concentration of 400 microg/kg and 2000 microg/kg. Compared with the control group to 35 and 88 days of age turkey female chicks fed on addition of chromium salts showed higher weight gain, better conversion of feed and lower content of fat in breast muscles.
