The second edition (December 1977) of seven Dietary Goals for the United States as recommended by the Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs changes in food selection and preparation suggested by the goals are listed. A diagram shows a comparison of current dietary levels of fat, protein and carbohydrates to proposed levels as suggested in the second edition of the Dietary Goals for the U.S.
