Abstract: Retired persons are encouraged to examine their food habits and nutrient intakes in a food guide prepared for persons over 65 years of age. A positive attitude towards food and nutrition requires awareness of RDAs, the Basic food groups, nutrient functions, and nutrient supplements. Other topics include cholesterol, dieting, food shopping, food storage, creative meals, dining out and menu planning. Recipes and a checklist for good nutrition are also included.
