Content of mercury and arsenic in foodstuffs and drinking water

The concentration of mercury and arsenic in different foodstuffs and drinking water was analysed, using the hydride AAS technique after microwave digestion. Within a few hundred samples analysed, no sample had concentration of mercury or arsenic exceeding the acceptable concentration.
