Causes of iron overload
1992
Bacon, B.R.

It focuses specifically on the work of Gordeuk et al (Iron overload in Africa-interaction between a gene and dietary iron content) which provides evidence that it is caused by a genetic factor in addition to the well-known dietary factor (ingestion of beer brewed in steel drums).
