Determination of degree and relations between derangements of metabolic processes in calves with respiratory syndrome in the milking period was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Research results showed that the calves with the respiratory syndrome had expressed metabolic processes disturbances, which were marked in the analyzed biochemical blood indexes (total protein; albumins; urea; creatinine; glucose; cholesterin; triglycerids; bilirubin; ALP; AAT; SGPT; calcium; phosphorous; magnesium; iron; manganese; cobalt; cuprum; zinc). In calves with respiratory syndrome there was noted the increased content of crude protein in blood serum (71,42 +/- 2,57 g/l P less than 0,05), low urea level (3,08 +/- mmol/l). There was the increased level of creatine (574,11 +/- 65,26 mkmol/l; P less than 0,01) and bilirubin (8,11 +/- 1,15 mkmol/l; P less than 0,05). Glucose concentration in blood of diseased calves was at below standard level (3,49 +/- 0,69 mmol/l). Glucose indexes varied and were changing during a day; and depended on muscular activity, intervals between feeding and hormonal regulation. Diseased calves had high cholesterol level in blood serum (4,07 +/- 0,34 mmol/l; P less than 0,05), which was stated in case of liver disease and hypothyroidism. Phosphor level was higher than the standard indexes of healthy calves (2,85 +/- 0,03 and 2,05 +/- 0,05, respectively). Content of magnesium, cobalt and zinc in blood of the diseased calves was lower than in healthy ones. Calves with respiratory pathology had protein, fat, hydro-carbonic and mineral metabolic processes

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus the seasonal derangements of metabolic processes at high-producing cows usually take place in the period from March till May. Analysis of efficiency of application of national preparation CMP (complex-mineral preparation -iron (15 mg/ml); iodine (6,8 mg/ml); magnesium (6,0 mg/ml); selenium (0,32 mg/ml) and vitamin preparation Trivitim (vitamin A – 30000 IU; , vitamin D – 40000 IU; vitamin E – 20 mg) for the preserving of high milking yielding capacity and prevention of metabolic processes disorders was realized. Four groups of high productive cows were formed. First group was entered 10 ml of CMP intramuscular; cows of the second group were entered 10 ml of Trivitim intramuscular; cows of the third group were entered CMP and Trivitim in the same doses; and the fourth group was a controlled one. On the 1-st, 7-th and 15-th days there was realized evaluation animal clinical state, hematologic and biochemical blood indexes (leukocytes; erythrocytes; hemoglobin; thrombocytes; ESR; total protein; albumins; urea; creatinine; glucose; calcium; phosphorous; magnesium; iron), and average daily milk yield. There was also analyzed the phagocytic activity of neutrophilic leukocytes. Research results showed that content of leukocytes and ESR in blood in all experimental groups was within the standard limits. In the first experimental group there was state the increasing of hemoglobin (from 91,4 +/- 4,38 up to 111,83 +/- 4,3 g/l (P less than0,05) ) and erythrocytes (from 4,48 +/- 0,21 up to 5,97 +/- 0,45 10E12/l) content. The same changes were stated in cows of the 2-d and 3-d experimental groups. Content of hemoglobin and erythrocyte in blood of cows which were administrated with CMP and Trivitim increased from 90,6 +/- 0,06 to 99,83 +/- 3,61 g/l and from 4,51 +/- 0,27 to 5,55 +/- 0,28 10E12/l, respectively. Analyze of biochemical indexes of cow blood showed that content of total protein, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron increased. On the 15-th day there was stated the decrease of urea. Research results proved that the combined application of CMP and Trivitim was efficient and prevented subclinical disorders of metabolic processes

Study of peculiar features of protein metabolism of healthy colts in the first three months of life was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Research results showed that there was a tendency of increasing of hemoglobin concentration up to 150,270+/- 4,73 g/l, number of total protein of blood serum – up to 60,33 +/- 1,33 g/l, and the decreasing of uric acid up to 97,33 +/- 10,72 micromole /l. Quantity of beta-1 and alpha globulin fractions of serum protein fluctuated a little – from 10,78 +/- 3,69% up to 8,44 +/- 1,24% and from 25,12 +/- 4,84% up to 22,06 +/- 4,93%, respectively. The most essential changes of protein metabolism were stated at two month old colts, which had urea concentration of 5,25 +/- 0,23 micromole/l, alanine aminotransferase activity – 66,92 +/- 3,16 units/l, creatine content increased up to 77,37 +/- 5,83 micromole /l; and there was the lowering of aspartate transaminase level up t159,5 +/- 8,1units/l. There was stated the lowering of albumin quantity up to 32,07 +/- 2,19%, and increasing of alpha-1, alpha2- and beta2- globulin fractions up to 7,52 +/- 1,23%, 14,98 +/- 1,41%, 11,82 +/- 1,04%, respectively. At the age of three months the quantity of urea and creatinine in blood serum of colts remained at the same level, alanine aminotransferase activity decreased on 21,56%, and aspartate transaminase increased up to 204,33 +/- 10,37 units/l. At this period the quantity of albumin fractions was 44,56 +/- 6,59%., concentration of alpha-1, alpha2- and beta2- globulins decreased on 10,64%, 30,04% and 34,52%, respectively

Investigation of acute and subacute toxicity of formulations of elecampane (Inula helenium) (herbal infusion, tincture, liquid and dry extracts) by the example of experimental white mice of both sexes ( body weight - 18-20 g) and white rats (body weight - 180-200 g) was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. In course of studies there were analyzed behavior (excitation or depression), physical activity, habitus, appetite, degree of reaction revelation to exogenous irritants, presence of shivering, cramps, paresis, comatose state, time and character of intoxication, dates of animal death). Results of the toxicological experiments showed that the developed preparative forms of elecampane could be referred to the substance hazard category 4, i.e. low-hazardous substances (lethal dose (LD) sub(50) more than 5000 mg/kg live weight). Median lethal dose of tincture was 14043 mg/kg for mice and 12684 mg/kg for rats. Median lethal dose of liquid extract was 13230 mg/kg for mice and 12285 mg/kg for rats

Determination of possible relations between some metabolic activity indexes of Large White pregnant sows (with various pregnancy stages) and their offspring was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. In the experimental animals there was taken blood for hematologic and biochemical tests. In peripheral blood there was analyzed the average content of hemoglobin, total number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, thrombocytes and corpuscular volume. Content of total protein, albuminolesterin, concentration total kalium and nonorganic phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, activity of alanine- and aspartate transaminase were evaluated in blood serum. Blood tests were made on 84th day of pregnancy, in 30 days before farrowing, on the 2-nd lactation day and on the 2-nd and 35-th days of piglet life. Research results showed high degree of persistence of iron and zinc deficiency of pregnant sows in the conditions of modern national swine production. The obtained results proved the presence of close relationship between metabolic processes of sows and piglets that was revealed in low degree of stores supply with elements which had been in deficit for their mothers

Studying of toxicity of enterosorbent produced the basis of mixture of filtering pulvis of perlite, kizelgur and activated carbon was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus by the example of healthy white mice of both sexes with body weight of 18-25 grams. Animals were divided in three groups. The tested substance was entered insitu to ventricle on an empty stomach after 12-hours of absolute diet. The first group animals were administrated the enterosorbent in doze of 5 g/1 kg, the second group animals - 2,5 g/1 kg. Glucose content increased from 3,8 +/- 0,47 to 4,3 +/- 0,17 mmol/l on the 30-th experimental day and decreased on 8,2 % on the 60-th experimental day. Cholesterin and triglyceride content lowered on 9,5 % and 11,1 %,respectively. Enzymes concentration of aspartate transaminase and alkaline phosphatase decreased from 120,0 +/- 3,87 up to 117,0 +/- 2,58 units/l and from 396,3 +/- 3,78 to 345,3 +/- 2,97 units/l, respectively. Urea increased from 3,7 +/- 0,16 to 3,9 +/- 0,17 mmol/l on the 30-th experimental day. Research results showed that mixture of filtering pulvis after the single oral administration in dose of 2,5-5 g/1 kg did not cause mice death. The analyzed mixture could be referred to the class of low-toxic substances. The mixture did not have irritation action and did not render chronic toxic action on the experimental mice

Realized review of research works showed that pathologic behavior of ulcerous abomasitis of calves, its preventive maintenance and treatment, as well as the functional status of liver of heart of sick calves require more thorough analysis in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Research results proved the perspective direction of experimental investigation of ulcerous abomasitis of calves by means of ulceration of mucous membranes of fundic portion of fourth stomach y means of derangement of circulatory dynamics of organ portions. The proposed experimental model made it possible to obtain animals with pathology similar to the main clinical, biochemical and morphofunctional parameters with such unprompted pathology. Results of realized experiment on reconstitution of ulcerous abomasitis at 13 calves were presented. Indexes of total clinical blood analysis at different stages of experiment, white blood cell differential, biochemical blood indexes, and indexes of abomasal content of experimental calves were presented

Investigation of dynamics of indexes of carbohydrate and lipid exchange at piglets with various body weight at after weaning period, determination of possibility of their application as energy deficit markers, as well as studying the influence of vitamin and energy additive based on rapeseed oil on the indexes of carbohydrate lipid exchange in blood of piglets and their economic indexes were realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Research results showed that at the weaning period and after it there were changes in piglet organisms caused by adaptation to new housing conditions and that subsequently led to transformation of energy metabolism. After the weaning period there was stated increasing of level of lipid exchange in the energy supply of adaptation process, that was proved by the increased level of total lipids and triglycerides. Low indexes of carbohydrate and lipid exchange of the group piglets with low growth indicated to the insufficient level of energy supplying, needed for growth and adaptation. The studied vitamin and energy additives based on rapeseed oil corrected the level of carbohydrate and lipid exchange and could be used as a prophylactic agent against energy deficiency conditions of weaning piglets

Investigation of acute sub-acute toxicity of preparative forms (herbal infusion, tincture liquid extract and pulvis) of marsh cinquefoil (Comarum palustre) by the example of laboratory animals was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. White mice of both sexes with body weight of 18-20 g and white rats with body weight of 180-200 g were used in the experiment. Experimental preparations were administrated on empty stomach after 12 hours of absolute diet. The animals were supervised in course of 14 days. All changes in behavior were registered. Calculations of parameters of acute and average toxicity of all analyzed forms were presented. Research results showed that all analyzed preparative forms could be referred to the substances hazard category 4 (low-hazardous substances) with lethal dose 50 more than 5000 mg/kg of live weight. It was determined that the analyzed preparative forms proved to be highly effective against strongylatosis (Strongylata) of gastro-intestinal tract of sheep and calves

Studying of cultural, morphological and enzymatic properties of isolated from a calf strain Salmonella enteritidis was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. There was presented quantity and results of bacteriologic examinations for cattle salmonellosis realized in the district veterinary services in Belarus in course of three years. There was presented quantity and results of serovars of salmonellas isolated from the pathologic material from cattle obtained in course of three-year analysis: S. typhimurium, S. enteritidis, S. dublin, S. panama. The following enzicymatic properties of the studied strain were analyzed: glucose, sucrose, manna sugar, citrate, methyl red, Voges-Proskauer reaction, mobility, indole, sulphuretted hydrogen, and urea. Determination of antibiotic susceptibility of strain S. enteritidis was presented. Initial data for calculation LD50 was given. Research results showed that the studied microorganisms were the representatives of family Enterobakteriacea, genus Salmonella, species S. enteritidis
