The article presents summary of studying the efficiency of dry carrot production when growing in the conditions of Ukraine’s Forest-Steppe subject to a variety. A complex assessment has been completed for fresh and dried products of 10 different varieties and hybrids of carrots on the content of basic biochemical, economic and biological indicators in order to highlight the best suited for drying. Varieties have been singled out, which roots display the highest yield, best marketability, accumulate the most of dry matter, sugars, etc. A close direct correlation between the weight of roots and their marketability has been established. An evaluation of the tested roots for complex organoleptic characteristics has been completed. It is proved that carrot drying is profitable. The yield and dry matter content in roots are key influence factors on profitability of dry carrot production. By the set of parameters under studying varieties most suitable for drying, Krasniy Velikan and Dlinnaia Krasnaia, have been selected. Profitability of their drying exceeds 40%. | Приведены результаты изучения эффективности производства сухой моркови, выращенной в условиях Лесостепи Украины, в зависимости от сорта. Проведена комплексная оценка свежей и сухой продукции моркови 10 различных сортов и гибридов по содержанию основных биохимических, хозяйственно-биологических показателей с целью подбора наиболее пригодных к сушке. Выделены сорта, корнеплоды которых характеризируются самой большой урожайностью, имеют самую высокую товарность, накапливают самое большое количество сухого вещества, сахаров и др. Установлена тесная прямая корреляционная взаимосвязь между массой корнеплодов и их товарностью. Проведена оценка испытуемых корнеплодов по комплексу органолептических показателей. Доказано, что сушка моркови прибыльная. На рентабельность производства сушеной продукции моркови больше всего влияет урожайность и содержаний сухого вещества у корнеплодах. По комплексу изучаемых показателей выделены наиболее пригодны для сушки сорта Красный великан и Длинная красная. Рентабельность их сушки становит выше 40%. | Наведено результати вивчення ефективності виробництва сухої продукції моркви, вирощеної в умовах Лісостепу України, залежно від сорту. Проведена комплексна оцінка свіжої та сушеної продукції моркви 10 різних сортів за вмістом основних біохімічних, господарськобіологічних показників з метою підбору найпридатніших для сушіння. Виділено сорти, коренеплоди яких характеризуються найвищою врожайністю, мають найвищу товарність, нагромаджують найбільше сухої речовини, цукрів тощо. Встановлено тісний прямий кореляційний зв’язок між масою коренеплодів та їх товарністю. Проведена оцінка дослідних коренеплодів за комплексом органолептичних показників. Доведено, що сушіння моркви є прибутковим. На рентабельність виробництва сушеної продукції моркви найбільше впливає врожайність та вміст сухої речовини у коренеплодах. За комплексом досліджуваних показників виділені найпридатніші для сушіння сорти Красний велікан та Длінная красная. Рентабельність їх сушіння становить понад 40%.

None of the plants from 8 studied lavender varieties was lost under the influence of low temperatures, though some of them were damaged significantly. Such varieties as ‘Feuervogel’, ‘König Humbert’, ‘Veseli notky’ (pith damage is on the level of 1–2 points), ‘Maestro’ (0.8–2.5 points) were the most resistant to low temperature exposure which allows to conclude about successful lavender cultivation under conditions of the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. | Цель. Изучить влияние низких температур на растения лаванды узколистой и их реакцию в зависимости от возраста и сорта. Определить критические показатели температуры для структурных элементов ее растений: коры, камбия, древесины, сердцевины.Методы. Полевой, спектрометрический, статистический.Результаты. Освещена актуальность исследований лаванды узколис­той (Lavandula angustifolia), выращиваемой в условиях Лесостепи Украины. Проанализировано влияние низких температур на структурные элементы побегов 8 сортов отечественной и зарубежной селекции. Больше всего пов­реждались низкими температурами однолетние побеги – 4,5 балла по шестибалльной шкале, меньше – двух- и трехлетние – от 0,8 до 2 баллов. Самыми устойчивыми к низким температурам оказались растения сортов ‘Feuervogel’, которые суммарно по коэффициенту повреждения достигали 11,3%, и ‘Маэстро’ – 10,6%. Эти сорта можно рекомендовать производителям для интродукции в условиях Лесостепи Украины.Выводы. Ткани однолетнего побега лаванды больше всего повреждались низкими температурами независимо от сорта, однако это – эфемерный орган, который можно удалить без ущерба для выживания растений. Двух- и трехлетние побеги, обеспечивающие восстановление растения, имели значительно меньшие повреждения. Из 8 сортов лаванды, которые были в опыте, ни одно растение не погибло под влиянием низких температур, хотя в некоторых из них коэффициент повреждения был весьма значительным. Самыми устойчивыми сортами при воздействии на них низких температур оказались ‘Feuervogel’, ‘König Humbert’, ‘Веселые нотки’ (пов­реждение сердцевины – 1–2 балла), ‘Маэстро’ (повреждение сердцевины – 0,8–2,5 балла), что позволяет сделать вывод об успешности выращивания лаванды в условиях Лесостепи Украины. | Мета. Вивчити вплив низьких температур на рослини лаванди вузьколистої та їхню реакцію залежно від віку й сорту, а також визначити критичні значення температури для структурних елементів її рослин: кори, камбію, деревини, серцевини.Методи. Польовий, спектрометричний, статистичний.Результати. Висвітлено актуальність досліджень лаванди вузьколистої (Lavandula angustifolia), яку вирощують в умовах Лісостепу України. Проаналізовано вплив низьких температур на структурні елементи пагонів 8 сортів вітчизняної та іноземної селекції. Найбільше пошкоджень від низьких температур зазнали однорічні пагони – 4,5 бала за шестибальною шкалою, найменше – дво- та трирічні – від 0,8 до 2 балів. Найстійкішими до низьких температур виявилися рослини сортів ‘Feuervogel’, що сумарно за коефіцієнтом пош­кодження досягали 11,3%, та ‘Маестро’ – 10,6%. Ці сорти можна рекомендувати виробникам для інтродукції в умовах Лісостепу України.Висновки. Тканини однорічного пагону лаванди найбільшою мірою були пошкоджені низькими температурами незалежно від сорту, однак це – ефемерний орган, який можна видалити без шкоди для виживання рослин. Дво- та трирічні пагони, що забезпечують відновлення рослини, мали значно менші пошкодження. У 8 сортів лаванди, які були в досліді, жодна рослина не загинула від впливу низьких температур, хоч у деяких з них коефіцієнт пошкодження був досить значним. Найстійкішими сортами за дії на них низьких температур виявилися: ‘Feuervogel’, ‘König Humbert’, ‘Веселі нотки’ (пошкодження серцевини на рівні 1–2 бали), ‘Маестро’ (пошкодження серцевини – 0,8–2,5 бала), що дає змогу зробити висновок про успішність вирощування лаванди в умовах Лісостепу України.

Статистическими методами анализа установлены уровни изменчивости признака в исходной популяции F2, влияние проведенного отбора у F2 на изменчивость гибридной популяции F3. Показана эффективность повторного отбора из популяции F3, его влияние на уровень проявления исследуемого признака в конечной популяции F6. Как следствие, для селекционной практики по признаку «количество семян в бобе» установлено лучшее время (поколение) проведения отбора и способ достижения его стабильного проявления, что будет способствовать сокращению продолжительности и средств в проведении исследований. | У статті наведено результати вивчення мінливості однієї з ознак продуктивності гороху овочевого «кількість насінин у бобі» у гібридних популяціях та у доборів, проведених із них. Статистичними методами аналізу встановлено рівні мінливості ознаки у вихідної популяції F2, вплив проведеного добору у F2 на мінливість гібридної популяції F3 . Висвітлена ефективність повторного добору із популяції F3 та його вплив на рівень прояву досліджуваної ознаки у кінцевій популяції F6 . Як наслідок, для селекційної практики за ознакою «кількість насінин у бобі» встановлено кращий час проведення доборів та спосіб досягнення її стабільного прояву, що буде сприяти скороченню тривалості та засобів у проведенні досліджень

In connection to the climate changing and draught frequency increasing in the spring-summer period the fractional composition of water (combined and uncombined water) in leaves of apple from May to August 2011, 2012 were studies. Combined and uncombined waters have different functionality for the life of plants. An uncombined water in leaves determines intensity of physiologic processes while the combined is responsible for plants resistance to unfavorable conditions. The fractional composition of water was studied in apple leaves of varieties bred by All-Russian Research Institute for Fruit Crop Breeding of RAAS, Bolotovskoye, Irmus, Orlik, Orlovim, Orlovskoye Polosatoye, Sinap Orlovskiy, Yubiliar in comparision to widespread varieties – Antonovka, Melba and Welsi. The study established that the varieties examined were well-adapted to drought in May, at the beginning of summer, as well as at the end of August and in September. At the beginning of July and in June higher indices of drought resistance were registered for Orlovim and Yubiliar, with the highest indices of combined water content. The completion of shoots growth and development of leaves system in all apple varieties was associated with increase of combined water amount in the leaves in August. In September, the number of combined water remained higher that suggested high adaptivity of the varieties being studied. The highest content of combined water in autumn was registered for Sinap Orlovskiy, Antonovka, Boltovskoie, Irmus.

Свободная и связанная вода выполняет разные функции в жизни растений. Свободная вода в листьях определяет интенсивность физиологических процессов, связанная – отвечает за устойчивость растений против неблагоприятных факторов среды. Изучали фракционный состав воды в листьях сортов яблони селекции ВНИИСПК – Болотовское, Имрус, Орлик, Орловим, Орловское полосатое, Синап орловский, Юбиляр в сравнении с широко распространенными сортами – Антоновка обыкновенная, Мелба и Уэлси. По данным исследований установлено, что изученные сорта хорошо адаптированы к засухе в мае, в начале летнего сезона, а также в конце августа и в сентябре. В июне и начале июля в 2012 году более высокие показатели адаптации к засухе отмечены у сортов Орловим и Юбиляр, с наибольшими показателями содержания количества связанной воды. Завершение роста побегов и формирования листового аппарата у всех сортов яблони характеризовалось увеличением связанной воды в листьях в августе. В сентябре количество связанной воды оставалось высоким, что указывает на высокую адаптивную способность изученных сортов. Наиболее высокое содержание связанной воды в осенний период было у сортов Синап орловский, Антоновка обыкновенная, Болотовское, Имрус. | У зв’язку зі зміною клімату та з почастішанням засух у весняно-літній період проводили вивчення фракційного складу води (зв’язаної і вільної) у листках сортів яблуні в травні–серпні 2011 р., 2012р. Вільна і зв’язана вода виконують різні функції в житті рослин. Вільна вода в листках визначає інтенсивність фізіологічних процесів, зв’язана відповідає за стійкість рослин проти несприятливих факторів середовища. Вивчали фракційний склад води в листках сортів яблуні селекції ВНДІСПК – Болотовське, Імрус, Орлик, Орловим, Орловське смугасте, Синап орловський, Ювіляр у порівнянні з широко розповсюдженими сортами – Антонівка звичайна, Мелба і Уелсі. За даними досліджень установлено, що вивчені сорти добре адаптовані до засухи в травні, на початку літнього сезону, а також у кінці серпня та у вересні. В червні та на початку липня в 2012 р. більш високі показники адаптації до засухи відмічені у сортів Орловим і Ювіляр, з найбільшими показниками вмісту кількості зв’язаної води. Завершення росту пагонів і формування листкового апарату у всіх сортів яблуні характеризувалось збільшенням зв’язаної води в листках у серпні. У вересні кількість зв’язаної води залишалась високою, що вказує на високу адаптивну здатність вивчених сортів. Найбільш високий уміст зв’язаної води в осінній період був у сортів: Синап орловський, Антонівка звичайна, Болотовське, Імрус.

The article highlights the results of studying hybrid combinations of common onion to the Botrytis allii Munn pathogen. It is found out that as for the combinations being studied the resistance to pathogen was inherited as dominant, intermediate or recessive trait. Better resistance to neck rot was inherent in the hybrid combinations which parents comprised resistant and immune varieties, insofar as the determination of inheritance coefficient has indicated F1 hybrids have this characteristic expression dependant by 50 to 78% on the parental plant (h2 =0,50–0,78). Studying the determination of the impact of both parental components on inheritance of the resistance to B. allii pathogen showed that the regression coefficient subject to hybrid combination fell within R = 0,12–0,39, while the resistance coefficient within 0,24–0,78, respectively. Efficiency of selection is proved by the trait of resistance to neck rot based on the populations of Grandina х Mavka, Olina х Grandina, Grandina х Skvyrska і Skvyrska х Grandina, as their respective inheritance coefficient reached the level of 0,42 to 0,78.

Более устойчивыми оказались те гибридные комбинации, материнскими формами которых были иммунные и мало восприимчивые сорта. При определении коэффициента наследуемости было отмечено, что у гибридов F1 на 50–78% проявление данного признака зависит от материнского растения (h2 = 0,50–0,78). Изучение влияния обеих родительских компонентов на наследование признака устойчивости против возбудителя B. allii показало, что коэффициент регрессии, в зависимости от гибридной комбинации, находился в пределах byx = 0,12–0,39, а коэффициент наследуемости – соответственно 0,24–0,78. Доказано, что по признаку устойчивости против возбудителя шейной гнили эффективными будут отборы из популяций Грандина / Мавка, Олина / Грандина, Грандина / Сквирский и Сквирский / Грандина, коэффициент наследуемости которых достиг уровня 0,42–0,78. | Висвітлені результати вивчення стійкості гібридних комбінацій цибулі ріпчастої до збудника Botrytis allii Munn. Встановлено, що в досліджуваних комбінаціях стійкість до патогена успадковувалася як домінантна, проміжна або рецесивна ознака. Стійкішими проти шийкової гнилі виявилися ті гібридні комбінації, материнськими формами яких були імунні і стійкі сорти, оскільки в гібридів F1 на 50–78 % прояв даної ознаки залежить від материнської рослини (h2 = 0,50–0,78). Вивчення впливу обох батьківських компонентів на успадкування ознаки стійкості проти збудника B. allii свідчить, що коефіцієнт регресії, залежно від гібридної комбінації, знаходився в межах byx=0,12–0,39, а коефіцієнт успадкування – відповідно 0,24–0,78. Доведено, що за ознакою стійкості проти збудника шийкової гнилі ефективними є добори з популяцій Грандіна / Мавка, Оліна / Грандіна, Грандіна / Сквирська і Сквирська / Грандіна, коефіцієнт успадкування у яких досяг рівня 0,42–0,78.

Это позволит ученым, экспертам и специалистам учреждений экспертизы сортов растений и селекционерам исследовать и получать дополнительный практический материал для установления кода проявления морфологических признаков при проведении описания и идентификации сортов, а также использования в практической деятельности признака и свойств, которые корреляционно увязаны с ценными агрономическими и хозяйственными свойствами. | Викладено результати досліджень із формування колекцій сортів з еталонними ознаками пшениці озимої. Встановлено, що вони є важливою і неодмінною умовою при розпізнаванні, описі та ідентифікації сортів за якісної кваліфікаційної експертизи на ВОС і вирішенні питання про надання сортам правової охорони. Встановлено, що для поповнення колекцій сортів з еталонними ознаками дослідження мають бути постійно діючими, доповнюючи їх новими морфологічними ознаками новозареєстрованих чи загальновідомих сортів, що можуть бути носіями виявлення певних ознак, які не вивчені і відсутні в базі даних Інституту. Це дасть можливість науковцям, експертам і спеціалістам закладів експертизи сортів рослин, селекціонерам досліджувати та мати допоміжний практичний матеріал для встановлення коду виявлення морфологічних ознак за проведення опису, ідентифікації сортів і використовувати у практичній діяльності ознаки та властивості, які корелятивно пов’язані з цінними агрономічно-господарськими властивостями.

The article proves that the genetic cluster analysis using of parents – offspring system at the period of 38 generations of directional intentional selection to short stem, the height of winter rye plants has been reduced less than 90 cm with simultaneously productivity integral components increasing. Directional selection on parent plants short stem has revealed pleiotropic effects to increasing averages of productivity yield capacity, spike length, flowers number, grains, and short stem and simultaneously its productivity reducing, plant and weight reducing of 100 direct descendants grains. Plant height donor of short stem Gnome 1 has been controlled prevailing by genetic factors and has been less influenced by environmental conditions. Selection by enlargement of elite plants grains has predetermined genetically increasing of the average height of families in the next generation without the concept selection requirements satisfaction. Therefore, the directed selections, by the structural analysis results, are annually held in two phases, first – to the expressed short stem and then among of them – to the high weight of 100 grains per plant and desirable productivity elements. A creative dominant short stem donor with stems up to 90 cm and a weight of 100 grains per plant more than 4.0 g has been made. A short stem spike shortness donor Dwarf 1possesses a significant reserve of common genetic mutation of quantitative characteristics, which can be used by direct and indirect selection. This population has been represented by its large amount, in order to enhance capabilities of directional selection plants short stem providing with the desired productivity components during the studying. Informative additive genetic cluster analysis is high. Plants productivity is considered to be extremely complicated selection characteristics, including many component constituents parts related genetically. One of these traits changing inevitably causes genetic changes in other breeding traits. The aim of the task should be set clearly and information flow should be methodically and genetically corrected used. Направленный отбор по короткостебельности родительских растений проявил плейотропный эффект на увеличение средних продуктивной кустистости, длины колоса, числа цветков в колосе, озерненности колоса при одновременном уменьшении продуктивности колоса, растения и массы 100 зерен прямых потомков. Высота растений донора Гном 1 контролировалась преимущественно генетическими факторами и мало зависела от влияния условий среды. Отбор по крупности зерна элитных растений обуславливал генетическое увеличение средней высоты семей в следующем поколении, что не удовлетворяло требованиям концепции селекции. Поэтому, направленные отборы по результатам структурного анализа ежегодно проводились в два этапа, сначала на выраженную короткостебельность, а среди них, на высокую массу 100 зерен с растения и желательными элементами продуктивности. Создан креативный донор доминантной короткостебельности с высотой стебля до 90 см и массой 100 зерен с растения 4,0 г. У донора короткостебельности имеется существенный резерв генетической изменчивости количественных признаков, который можно использовать прямым и косвенным отбором. За годы исследований популяция была представлена большим объемом для того, чтобы увеличить возможности проведения направленного отбора короткостебельных растений с желательными свойствами слагаемых продуктивности. Информативность генетического аддитивного кластерного анализа высокая. Продуктивность растения чрезвычайно сложный селекционный признак, который включает много компонентных слагаемых, генетически связанных между собой. Необходимо ставить перед собой цели, задачи, методически и генетически корректно использовать поток информации. | Використанням генетичного кластерного аналізу в системі батьки-нащадки протягом 38 поколінь спрямованої селекції на короткостеблість зменшено висоту рослин жита озимого до 90 см з одночасним збільшенням інтегральних складових продуктивності. Спрямований добір за короткостеблістю батьківських рослин проявив плейотропний ефект на збільшення середніх величин продуктивної кущистості, довжини колоса, числа квіток, зерен, озерненості колоса та одночасного зменшення продуктивності колоса, рослини і маси 100 зерен прямих нащадків. Висота рослин донора короткостеблості Гном 1 контролювалася переважно генетичними чинниками й мало залежала від упливу умов середовища. Добір по крупності зернівки елітних рослин зумовлював генетичне збільшення середньої висоти сімей у наступному поколінні, що не задовольняло вимогам концепції селекції. Тому спрямовані добори за результатами структурного аналізу щорічно проводилися в два етапи. Перший – на виражену короткостеблість, а серед них – на високу масу 100 зерен з рослини та бажаними елементами продуктивності. Створено креативний донор домінантної короткостеблості з висотою стебла до 90 см і масою 100 зерен з рослини понад 4,0 г. У донора короткостеблості Гном 1 існує істотний резерв загальної генетичної мінливості кількісних ознак, який можна використовувати прямим і опосередкованим добором. За роки досліджень популяція представлена великим обсягом, з метою збільшення можливостей проведення спрямованого добору короткостеблових рослин з поєднанням бажаних складових продуктивності. Інформативність генетичного адитивного кластерного аналізу висока. Продуктивність рослини надзвичайно складна селекційна ознака, яка включає в себе багато складових компонентів, генетично пов’язаних між собою. Зміна однієї з цих ознак неодмінно зумовлює генетичну зміну інших селекційних ознак. Необхідно чітко ставити мету завдання, методично та генетично коректно використовувати потік інформації.

Исследованы экзотические формы коллекции общеизвестных сортов дуболистовой группы салата посевного с целью создания нового сорта Дублянский, который проходит государственную квалификационную экспертизу сортов растений с целью государственной регистрации и правовой охраны. Для идентификации фенотипа растений салата листового использовали метод морфологического описания, который дает возможность определить критерии охраноспособности сорта: отличимость, однородность и стабильность. Приведены результаты исследований с оценки хозяйственно-ценных признаков сортов салата листового, в частности массы розетки листьев. Урожайность, группа спелости, вкусовые качества, дегустационная оценка, устойчивоcть к болезням – алгоритмы типичной модели сорта салата Дублянский, который можно выращивать в разных агроэкологических градиентах. | Розкрито шляхи формування національних сортових ресурсів салату посівного листкової різновидності Lactuca sativa var. secalina L. та методи створення нових сортів із залученням селекційних форм дуболисткової групи Oaklieaf. Досліджено екзотичні форми колекції загальновідомих сортів дуболисткової групи салату посівного та передано новостворений сорт Дублянський до Державної науково-технічної експертизи сортів рослин з метою державної реєстрації сорту та прав на нього. Застосований опис морфологічних ознак фенотипу рослин салату посівного, який дасть можливість ідентифікувати новий сорт під час експертизи на відмінність, однорідність і стабільність. Наведено результати досліджень щодо оцінки господарсько-цінних характеристик сорту Дублянський (урожайність, група стиглості, смакові якості, дегустаційна оцінка, стійкість до хвороб, які є робочими алгоритмами моделі сорту салату посівного у різних екологічних градієнтах вирощування.
