In the ecological conditions of eastern Croatia (Yugoslavia), fruits of the summer, autumn and winter pear sorts have high quality. In general, the total meltable dry substances and sugars are somewhat lower while fruits of the summer pear sorts contain more acid than autumn and winter sorts.
