Response of Cortland apples to low oxygen and low ethylene CA storage

Apples cv. Cortland ripening was significantly delayed by low oxygen storage in the presence of CO2 as compared to the standard CA storage in 5 + 3. Fruit stored in 2+1.5 and 1+1 had the highest flesh firmness and titratable acids content. Ethylene removal controlled atmospheres did not affect Cortland apples ripening
