Effect of extended finishing period on dressing percentage in broiler chickens

Intensive nutrition of broiler chickens in the final phase of finishing period extended to 52 weeks with feeds supplemented with a chicken meat separate allowed to increase dressing percentage to 70-75 %. The percentages of breast muscles in ROSS and HYBRO cockerels were 25.9 and 27.7 %, respectively, and those of legs in COBB pullets and cockerels were 29.89 and 31.66 %, respectively.
