The preparation and use of Food Tables in human nutrition and a short description of the database is described, and average values of single components of food products are listed. The data concerning contents of the main components e.g. water content, dry matter and dry-matter-forming components are corrected through logic approximation. 766 food products are covered, 656 of which represent individual food products and 110 commodity or subcommodity averages. The tables respect the parameters of Slovak nutrition rations and recommendations. Coefficients used for energy calculations are also included.
