A literature review summarizes and discusses analytical procedures (particularly gas chromatography), laboratory requirements, and the use of standard solutions for the isolation and analysis of pesticide residues in foodstuffs. Multi-residue procedures applied to plant and meat tissues and water are outlined and illustrated. An operational guide for gas chromatography demonstrating a number of typical examples in multi-pesticide residue analysis is included. (wz)
