Two hundred and fourty four samples of different genotypes of potato in a three year period were evaluated for processing quality, chips and dry matter content. Fifteen clones showed good characteristics for chipping, beside being resistant to late blight. These are candidates for new varieties which respond to the demand of the potato industry in Mexico.
