Effect of rapeseed "00" meal or rapeseed oil and cake added to IB-3 diet on growing performance and quantity and quality traits of lipid tissue in young turkeys

An experiment on 600 turkeys at 13 weeks of life fed a standard diet (IB-3), IB-3 + rapeseed meal (RSM) or IB-3 + rapeseed oil and cake (RSOC) was carried out. The higher weight gain, feed conversion efficiency and dressing percentage in turkeys given RSM and RSOC than in those given IB-3 was stated. An increase of unsaturated fatty acid content in lipid tissue (abdominal fat) of turkeys fed RSOC was observed
