Storage behaviour of apple fruits from different climatic locations in Himachal Pradesh

The physico-chemical composition of the fruits upon storage varied with the variety, location and storage temperature. The quality deterioration that occurred under storage for 15-20 days at ambient temperature took 125-145 days at low temperature. Golden Delicious showed overall good quality characteristics under both the storage conditions. Location-wise, fruits from dry temperate high hills and cold desert agroclimatic location recorded higher overall acceptability compared with other two locations under both the storage temperatures.
