Abstract: This book presents plant fiber information for many commonly used foods. The health advantages of high-fiber diets have been demonstrated for individuals with diabetes, high blood fats, obesity, and hypertension. In addition fiber intake may be p rotective against coronary heart disease and colon cancer. The measurement and reporting of fiber content is helpful in establishing and maintaining a fiber conscious diet.
