The results of complex estimation of structure of variety population Amager 611, the genetic analysis by inbreeding (J1-J9) and RAPD-markers are shown. The role of 17 phenotype groups in the variety population was determined. The suggestions for agriculture and maintaining of cv. Amager 611 are proposed.

The review deals with the phenomenon of fasciation and its types, as well as factors that contribute to its occurrence.

The phytopathogenic complex is studied and yield of nine hybrids of bulb onion under growing in annual crops using drip irrigation. The same diseases that afflicted bulb onions in Siberia in the biennial crop of onions are revealed. The highest yield for this technology was shown by F1 hybrid Bonus - 65,5 tones per hectare, average yield - Sherman F1, fopra F1, Solushn F1, Hilton F1.

August 28-29, 2012, in Grodno region of Belarus the Eurasian Forum of vegetable growers took place. This meeting was held in order to improve the efficiency of agriculture, to increase integration and mutually beneficial cooperation among the countries of the EuroAsian zone.

The short results of investigation in 2012 of the Institutes of Russian Academy of Agricultural Science, Russian Academy of Science, and Institutions of Higher Education in the field of development of new varieties and high-precision and environmentally safe technologies of zonal agriculture of vegetable and cucurbits crops with utilization of new cultivars and hybrids, high-quality seeds, modern types of growing and mechanical equipment are described in the article.

The developed technology, regulatory and technical documentation allowed to produce 3-5-kg packages of sterilized vegetables: potatoes, beets, carrots and cabbage, which are in great demand in the social nutrition (the army, schools, hospitals). The use of packaging for products of composite materials allows to reduce the amount of required storage space.

The green pea collection consisting of 277 geographically distant samples varied in quantitative and qualitative traits was estimated. The molecular analysis of selected samples was conducted for the purpose of reciprocal crossing.

The article marked the stages of formation and studying of the VIR's collection of vegetable and melon crops. The structure of the collection and its significance for breeding is shown. The most important genetic resources of economically important traits are given.

Preventive measures are most effective methods of plants pathogens control. Broad beans - Vicia faba L. - are infected by Uromyces fabae (Grev.) de Bary ex Fuckel, Ascochyta fabae Speg. and broad bean mottle virus (BBMV) at the Middle part of Russian Federation. Degrees of diseases spread were: for Uromyces fabae (Grev.) de Bary ex Fuckel - 76% (at 2009) and 6,5% (at 2011); for Ascochyta fabae Speg. - 100% (at 2009) and 1,5% (at 2011), for broad bean mottle virus - 23% (at 2009) and 46,3% (at 2011). It is known, that Ascochyta fabae Speg. is spreading by seeds. It has been proved by analysis of broad beans seeds germinated in the humid chamber. The significant negative correlation between the degree of plants affection and the degree of seeds germination has been established (r= -0,49; tr = 3,50>t05 = 2,01). This correlation is significant on 5%-level of significance. Recommendations for treatment of broad bean seeds against Ascochyta fabae Speg have been done for breeders.

Standard is the main normative document regulating the important traits of seeds (germination ability, humidity, purity, regime of storage). This regulatory document provides the technological and economical basis for vegetable production and others features of agriculture.
