A comparative research of qualitative characteristics has been performed on qualitative characteristics of modern varieties and hybrids of Sunflower for the five years of research and technical examination in various soil and climate conditions: Steppe, Forest-Steppe. Regularities have been established of the oil fatty-acid composition variability during examination and varieties and hybrids of improved fatty-acid composition have been detected. High-protein and large-fruit sunflower varieties for confectionary use have  been detected.

Установлены закономерности изменчивости жирно-кислотного состава масла. выявлены сорта и гибриды подсолнечника с улучшенным жирнокислотным составом. Выявлены высокобелковые и крупноплодные сорта подсолнечника кондитерского направления. | Проведено порівняльне дослідження якісних показників сучасних сортів та гібридів соняшнику за п’ять років науково-технічної експертизи у різних грунтово-кліматичних умовах - Степ, Лісостеп. Встановлено закономірності мінливості жирнокислотного складу олії за експертизи та виявлено сорти і гібриди соняшника з поліпшеним жирно-кислотним складом . Виявлено високобілкові та крупноплідні сорти соняшнику кондитерського напряму.

In particular highlight the role of scientific works of Charles Darwin, W. Rimpau, AL Sempolovskуу, IS Korzhinskуу and research institutions to increase attention to the study of local varieties of winter wheat and their improvement. Especially analyze values of Russia's first benefit from the breeding "Guide to Seed for the Advancement of cultivated plants", in which the author proposes methods for improving and creating new varieties. Since the end of XIX century selection were mainly involved in private owners on their own initiative, already in the beginning of XX century this trend more interested in the agricultural society, local and state authorities. Thanks to their support in the country organized congresses, meetings and conferences, set up research and field stations. It was during this period of transition took place in the national selection analysis.

Освещена роль научных работ Ч. Дарвина, В. Римпау, А. Л. Семполовського, И.,С. Коржинського и исследовательских учреждений в увеличении внимания к изучению местных сортов пшеницы озимой и их усовершенствования. Особенно анализировано значения первого российского пособия из селекции „Руководство к разведению семян по улучшению возделываемых растений”, в котором автор предлагает методы улучшения и создание новых сортов. Так как в конце XIX ст. селекцией занимались преимущественно частные хозяева по собственной инициативе, то уже в начале XX ст. этим направлением более заинтересовались сельскохозяйственные общества, местные и государственные органы власти. Благодаря их поддержке в стране организовывались съезды, совещания и конференции, создавались исследовательские поля и станции. Именно в этот период состоялся переход народной селекции в аналитическую. | У даній статті розглядаються основні чинники зародження та розвитку аналітичної селекції пшениці озимої в Україні наприкінці XIX – на початку XX століття. Зокрема висвітлено роль наукових праць Ч. Дарвіна, В. Римпау, А. Л. Семполовського, І.С. Коржинського та дослідних установ у збільшенні уваги до вивчення місцевих сортів пшениці озимої та їх удосконалення. Особливо описано значення першого російського посібника з селекції „Руководство к разведению семян по улучшению возделываемых растений”, у якому автор пропонує методи покращення та створення нових сортів. Так як наприкінці XIX століття селекцією займалися переважно приватні господарі з власної ініціативи, то вже на початку XX століття цим напрямом більш зацікавилися сільськогосподарські товариства, місцеві та державні органи влади. Завдяки їх підтримці в країні організовувалися з’їзди, наради та конференції, створювалися дослідні поля та станції. Саме в цей період відбувся перехід народної селекції в аналітичну.

Представлено результати багаторічної роботи селекціонерів Полтавського інституту агропромислового виробництва імені М. І. Вавилова. Коротко охарактеризовано основні створені та районовані сорти люцерни, стоколосу безостого, вики ярої та озимої, конюшини, буряку кормового та деякі особливості їх вирощування.

The character of the inheritance of the content of sugar, titrate acids, ascorbic acid and P-active substances in fruit is shown. The brief descriptions of the new varieties with good flavor and harmonic combination of sugar and acidity are given. The prospects of the trend are shown.
