Results of studying of influence of sowing terms on productivity and indices of quality of grain of winter bread wheat variety-innovations of V.M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS of Ukraine in the conditions of Right-bank Forest-steppe are shown. Negative correlation of productivity of varieties on average temperature of air during the sowing period is shown.

By means of directed hybridization and selection, a new donor of Winter Rye with combination of ultra short stem and absence of wax coating has been synthesized. Markings was offered for the first time for dominant genes of ultra short stem characteristic – HI-3HI-3, and for recessive genes of absence of wax coating characteristic – wcwc. Determination is made of genetic variability, coefficients of inheritance, phenotype and genotype correlation coefficients, on the basis of which a selection strategy by ten quantitative characteristics is proposed. Polypheny and cohesion effects were established. Under certain conception, strategy and tactic of improvement by breeding of Winter Rye characteristics, determination of genetic and statistic parameters between traits of parents and the offspring is required.

The article describes summary of the researches, characteristics of morphological and agro-biological characteristics and features, a note is made of a significant progress in the selection of productivity and adaptability of registered Durum Winter Wheat Varieties of new crops rotation. Significant developments of plants architectonic are marked, especially in height, characteristics of economical value, and in terms of considerable achievements in breeding of this kind of wheat. A stress in made on the need to enhance Durum Winter Wheat breeding to develop more frostresistant and drought-overheat resistant varieties.

The article presents the results of studying a degree of self-pollination usual for seven sour-cherry varieties: Solidarnist, Vzglyad, Melitopolska purpurna, Amulet, Rassvet, Vudumka, Melitopolska radist bred in M.F.Sydorenko Institute of Irrigated Fruit Growing UAAS within 2004-2007 yrs. Also the number of pollinizers for these varieties has been picked up from the varieties added to the State Register of Plant Varieties.

By means of directed selection during 39 generations of Rye plants bearing the highest expression of short stem in combination with largest size of grain, a donor of dominant short stem and recessive complimentary or epistatic large size grain has been obtained. Dependence of Rye grain size on two complimentary or independent alleles of genes in homozygote state, namely lg (large grain) and tg (thick grain) has been first time reported. Short stem and recessive grain size donor is homozygotic by the characteristic “Short upper internode”, albeit hybridologic analyzes on dominance-recessivity has not been performed. Correlative analyzes to breeding purposes is only applicable to perform by determining relations between characteristics in generations. In order to process the breeding strategy phenotype and genotype variability shall be assessed in the source material, as well as coefficients of multiple and pair correlation of desired breeding characteristics. On the base of parameter indexes to develop plans of selections and directed crossings with predicting the disjointing results in the next and subsequent generations of hybrids and determine strategy and tactic of for the development of desired characteristics in breading. This is the only way from the art to the science.

It is certain the parameters and character of intercommunications for ten quantitative signs at F1 hybrids from crossing of rye standards with distinctive morphological signs.
