Nutritive value of naked oat grain cultivar "Mina"

Variety "Mina" is the first spring naked oat bread in Bulgaria. Its biological potential for productivity is over 500 kg/dka. Crude protein content in grain in high, almost 25%. In comparison with other cereal like wheat and corn the naked oat amino-acid content exceeds these crops. The quantity of tyrosine. cystine and especially methionine essential amino-acids in grain of "Mina" variety, exceeds the quantity of these three amino-acids in grain of chick-pea (Cicer Arietinum). Besides of balanced amino-acid composition, (assimilation of proteins is 94%) naked oat variety "Mina" is preferable cheaper source for food industry.
