The repeatability (r) and reproductibility (R) were calculated from the data obtained by the Portuguese laboratories in wine analysis of specific gravity, alcohol concentration, total acidity and extract, in order to compare to those published by the O. I. V. (Wine International Organization). The sources of error were searched by a later enquiry made to the laboratories involved (author).
