Some innovations in food processing are described briefly such as the hermetically sealed package or retort pouch, and aseptic processing e.g. the Ultra-High-Temperature processes. Improved technologies in food preservation and storage include controlled atmosphere storage of fresh foods and radiation preservation of foods
