Some kinetic characteristics and hydrolytic action patterns on various ss-D-galactosyl-maltooligosaccharides (Gal-Gn), ranging in size from D.P. (degree of polymerization) 5 to 8, of the G4-amlyase of Pseudomonas stutzeri was described to apply in the industrial production of Gal-G5P and Gal-G4P from Gal-Gn by using the transfer action of the enzyme.
