This article provides the results of a survey exploring the impact and challenge of cultural diversity on school food service operations. The survey quantified the ethnic and gender diversity of the school food service workforce; determined how diversity affects school food service operations; examined what districts are currently doing to meet diversity-related challenges, and projected needs for the future.
