DEUTSCH: Kurze Beschreibung der Ube-Wurzel. Ube-Wurzel wird auf den Philippinen als Mehl, fuer die Faerbung und Aromatisierung von alkoholischen Getraenken, von Eiskrem, fuer die Zubereitung von Puddings, Backwaren, Marmeladen und die Produktion von "Nata" verwendet, wobei es dickende Eigenschaften wie Kartoffelmehl aufweist. Aus Ube kann durch Extraktion mit Ethanol ein violetter Farbstoff gewonnen werden.
