Fasciola hepatica, also known as the common liver fluke, is a globally distributed trematode parasite responsible for high economic losses in ruminants. Infection with F. hepatica occurs in Polish cattle and sheep; however, very little is known about its occurrence in goats. Therefore, a serological and coproscopic survey was carried out in Polish goats to determine the herd-level prevalence of F. hepatica infection in the goat population of Poland.

This study aimed to determine the bacterial diversity of chicken carcasses and their surrounding environment at various stages along a poultry slaughter line.

The aim of the study was the isolation and molecular determination of exosomes in blood and supernatant fluids of bovine dendritic cell cultures infected with bovine leukaemia virus (BLV).

Radioactive caesium-137 occurring in the environment may be taken up by plants and animals and pose a trophic threat to humans. Game animals living in forest ecosystems are very good bioindicators of the level of environmental contamination by ionising radiation. The main species measurably exposed to caesium-137 are the wild boar (Sus scrofa), the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), and the red deer (Cervus elaphus). The study determined the levels of Cs-137 in muscle samples of these game animals in 2015–2022.

Curcuma longa is a well-known medicinal plant with various health benefits. This study was designed to evaluate the administration of Indonesian C. longa maceration for its effect on promoting growth and development of the ovary and uterus before mating in female albino rats.

The aim of the study was to monitor the occurrence of selected vector-borne diseases in anaemic dogs arriving in or returning to Poland from areas endemic for these diseases.

When piglets are exposed to pathogens for a long period, the immune system organs, among them the spleen, play a major role in combating the stress caused by those pathogens. In the present study, the effect on splenocyte function was investigated in a model of weaned piglets in which stress was induced by multiple low doses of lipopolysaccharide (LPS).

Different Chlamydia species affect cattle and contribute to economic losses. One of them, C. pecorum, is a globally endemic livestock pathogen. Despite its endemicity, prevalence data from Poland have so far been limited. The present study aimed to obtain insight into the chlamydiae prevalence in Polish dairy cattle.
